What needs to be done? I can probably be in this space once every 48 hours...so i can't take over daily duties, but every other day should be ok....

Hi Alan!
Nice to see you here. What we are doing right now is- each of us are creating a genre page... to help organize the haphazard way in which our netflix groups are displayed (not user/ search friendly)
There is no real need to be here all the time. Once the page is created, the admin. is really just checking in here and there for updates that need to be made.
Do you see any genres of the main page that interest you?
Of course you can also just hang with us if you like -throw in your 2 cents here and there :)

The way we have it set up now is by using our profile page as the portal. You can also create a new profile page for the portal and keep your current page for you. Which looks nice so far by the way!
If you want to test out some basic HTML-JWnPooh made a really nice help document, otherwise if you have q's, you can ask anyone here and we'll be happy to help!

I started converting my page to the Anime & Comics Portal but it's a lot more work than I thought and I haven't gotten very far. Anyone have a link to some cool gadgets to use?

Here's the list that I've been picking through-http://dorkycool.ning.com/html/embed/widgets-it's hard to find widgets that work here. For RSS feeds-the one that 2MC uses is awesome. And I'm not sure what JW has used for his fancy photo show, it's cool though!
I found that starting with a basic list worked, and just kindof took off from there, it doesn't need to be fancy! In fact, there are so many neat ideas that everyone has done already-I like that they don't all appear the same, they take after their genres nicely!

I am interested in doing something involved w/science fiction--or perhaps even a sub-category of SF--but as I work the graveyard shift currently--my contributions might be intermittent for awhile--it would probably be best if I could assist someone who is more regularly available?

It's true about the cover. The artwork does blow. If I passed this in a video store, I wouldn't even give it a look.Did you ever see Graham's show "Mind Your Own Business"? I think there were only a few episodes. That's the show that I started following her career on.

This is an absurd comment. Tiny number? Anyone with a family and/or a desire to have their own queue...which is really most everyone I would think. A family of four (father, mother 2 kids) would need 4 netflix accounts? I don't think so.You can enable parental controls on XBOX 360 and it will honor the ratings in Netflix videos and lock them out (so you need a password) to view. This is better than nothing but we really need profiles/queues to work how we would expect them to.
Netflix Friends
I called them today and was told they removed the Friends link from the top of the pages because "there was no room for it". That's apparently what the support people are being told to tell customers. No room? I'm looking at that menu bar being 75% blank. I made a request to put the link back at the top.DVD Commentary tracks and NF's lack of detailed description.
I also use commentaries to improve my appreciation of movies whenever available and when the commentary is germane to the movie. Sometime the commentary may be germane to the director or some such with may or may not improve my appreciation of the movie.However, I gather from reading the descriptions on Netflix and other rental sites that the descriptions are contracted or borrowed from other sources. One rental site even tells you which source they once used.
