Who Are We?
We are members of The Netflix Community who wanted a better way to list, search, and locate groups found on The Netflix Community.
What Are Portals?
The main function of a Portal is to be a directory for a specific genre. We have used the My Page/Profile feature to create each Portal. The main page contains a small, easy to view list of genres, as well as links to several key indexes.Portal genres generally fall along the same lines as Netflix; some changes have been made in order to be more comprehensive.
What's included in this directory? A list of all the groups from The Netflix Community that can fall under that specific genre, as well as any cross-genre relationships. Portals may also include additional content to enhance the experience of visiting.
Navigating the DorkyCool Network
We offer many different ways for you to search for groups: by genre, by category, or alphabetically. All of which can be found on the Main Page.
The SEARCH feature. There is a Search bar on the upper right hand corner of your screen. You may use this to search our network! Type in your keywords and it will bring up a list of all the pages that relate to your search.
Get to know the layout and what's available on the network by using the tabs found at the top of your screen.
The right-hand column is reserved for Ning sponsor links, as well as links to popular Netflix pages and a feed displaying current discussions happening in the Netflix Community forums.
The left-hand and center columns are content pertaining to this network and individual portals, depending on where you are located. At anytime, clicking on the Main tab will bring you back to the Main Page of DorkyCool.
You do not need to be a member to use the site, but if you have a question, want to comment, or add a suggestion -this is how you do it:
- Click 'sign up' (top right-hand corner).
- Enter your Netflix Community email and password.
- The site should recognize your profile and update the information.
How do I do the Code thingy?
Well it is a simple matter of mosly inserting, copying, pasting. As well as going back and forth between several windows that you are working from. The Devil and Miss Jones -- Yes. It has some first class Jean Arthur riffs. Bob Cummings has a few moments, too ("He's not very bright, is he?." "No . . . but he's wonderful.") It's true about the cover. The artwork does blow. If I passed this in a video store, I wouldn't even give it a look.Did you ever see Graham's show "Mind Your Own Business"? I think there were only a few episodes. That's the show that I started following her career on.

This is an absurd comment. Tiny number? Anyone with a family and/or a desire to have their own queue...which is really most everyone I would think. A family of four (father, mother 2 kids) would need 4 netflix accounts? I don't think so.You can enable parental controls on XBOX 360 and it will honor the ratings in Netflix videos and lock them out (so you need a password) to view. This is better than nothing but we really need profiles/queues to work how we would expect them to.
Netflix Friends
I called them today and was told they removed the Friends link from the top of the pages because "there was no room for it". That's apparently what the support people are being told to tell customers. No room? I'm looking at that menu bar being 75% blank. I made a request to put the link back at the top.DVD Commentary tracks and NF's lack of detailed description.
I also use commentaries to improve my appreciation of movies whenever available and when the commentary is germane to the movie. Sometime the commentary may be germane to the director or some such with may or may not improve my appreciation of the movie.However, I gather from reading the descriptions on Netflix and other rental sites that the descriptions are contracted or borrowed from other sources. One rental site even tells you which source they once used.
