Help: HTML: Flush Photos with Group Description

This Help Document will show you how to make your Group Descriptions run along the right hand side of your photos.

The best way I found to do this was working back and forth between the My Page and my word processing system. For some reason whenever I typed the code directly in the Content box on My Page it mixed it all up at Save. It's very time consuming to do it this way, but up to now, the only way to do it.

Here's what the code looks like for one group w/the description added:

<img src="http://api.ning.com/files/6QDRrW7dgC45Uw6TjqRW*iXGp-gdPU6xxfQmfPOTyF2FiRBVXZprbIwlw6xpIDEQM-Oa8-q9HhmbyNMiU7j-7qoo1klCtgQ2/cheesybratehorror.jpg?width=82" alt="" width="82" height="82" style="float: left;"/> <a href="http://community.netflix.com/group/cheesybratehorror"><b>Cheesy B Rate Horror</b></a><br>A place for all us cheesy b rated horror flick fans to hang out and share or discuss our favorites.<br>

<br>

<br>

<br>

<br>

Here's what I did:

I had a few windows open: the Groups home on the Netflix Community, My Page here (leave this open on EDIT of your content space), and my word processing program.

I'd find a group that matched the genre, go to their main page. Save their Icon to my computer, then bring up My Page.

Now where I posted the group list -starting with a blank box worked best for me. Click the Add Image button. Make sure you add the following options: Wrap Text Around Image (left), and Thumbnail size should be at 100, then click the add button.

Next, I cut the code from the box, and brought up word-Paste.

(code that looks like:

<img src="http://api.ning.com/files/6QDRrW7dgC45Uw6TjqRW*iXGp-gdPU6xxfQmfPOTyF2FiRBVXZprbIwlw6xpIDEQM-Oa8-q9HhmbyNMiU7j-7qoo1klCtgQ2/cheesybratehorror.jpg?width=82" alt="" width="82" height="82" style="float: left;"/>

...)

Now back to the Group website, copy the address.

Bring up My Page again, Type in the name of the group only. Then highlight, bold it, and before clicking anything else, do the add link. Paste in the address. This gives you your next line of code. Cut that.

(code that looks like:

<a href="http://community.netflix.com/group/cheesybratehorror"><b>Cheesy B Rate Horror</b></a>

...)

Paste it in word after the image code. Now add <br> right after it, that gives you the end of the line so the title of the group isn't on the same page.

(what you just pasted should now look like this:

<a href="http://community.netflix.com/group/cheesybratehorror"><b>Cheesy B Rate Horror</b></a><br>

...)

Now, bring the Group page back up. Copy their description.

Then, bring word back up. Paste this right after your <br>.

At the end of the description, add <br>. I've also added a set number of 4 <br>'s to my code so that it all stays in line, otherwise I had pictures and descriptions all warped.

(so the description code looks like this:

A place for all us cheesy b rated horror flick fans to hang out and share or discuss our favorites.<br>

<br>

<br>

<br>

<br>

...)

Then repeat for how ever many groups you want to add to your list. When you are finished with your editing, copy all in word and paste it in your description box.

************

To break up the sections of my description, I've added a horizontal rule which looks like this <hr>. That's always a nice organization tool. If it doesn't line up on your first try, add some <br>'s before and after. Mine looks like:

<br>

<br>

<br>

<hr>

We aren't in some sort of anti-caption coalition or anything

I am.

I am, in fact, president of the ACCOA.

STOP CAPTIONS! STOP THEM NOW!!!

BOYCOTT FOR SUBTITLES THROUGH THE STREAMING MOVIES ON XBOX 360 AND PC!!

I can understand the frustration he feels ,but for Netflix to add captions I believe we would all have to watch captions which would not be fair to those of us who don't need and/or want captions.

I think Fermin and the other people who bring it up are not asking for all IW movies to have captions but rather that all IW have the *option* to have captions if people need them. If that is the case, I really doubt there is anyone here that would say "NO CAPTIONS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE…
